In this 5 week course, we teach the fundamentals of a yoga practice- at the end you will have practiced the core yoga postures having experienced a vinyasa class, and experienced the calming, centering benefits of a yoga practice.
Week 1; Sun salutations, how to link the breath and movements, use of props.
Week 2; Balancing the body, building strength with the Sun Salutations, and suppleness with stretching. Start to move through a basic flow.
Week 3; Recap what we have done so far, look in more detail at the more common standing and balancing postures.
Week 4; Building on last week we look at seated postures, more breathing techniques, and how we can use them to energize and relax.
Week 5; Everything comes together, a vinyasa class with a short meditation to end.
