Meet Katy Williams
My yoga journey started when I was very young – my mother and I would attend weekly hatha classes together. However, I only began to take my practice seriously at the age of 16/17 while still studying at Cape Academy of Performing Arts.
I later completed my 200-hour teacher training in 2016 and began teaching soon after. In conjunction with my yoga teaching qualification, I have an Honors degree in Psychology.
I draw influence and inspiration from my many years as a dancer and performer, as well as other movement styles and practices. I strive to create and hold a safe space for students to explore their intelligent edge through breath and movement, free from judgement or expectation.
My style of teaching is strong, dynamic, and inclusive of all levels, shapes and sizes. My Vinyasa classes are fluid and grounding, intended to awaken, align, restore and strengthen. They are designed to safely challenge your mind and muscles while connecting you to the beat of your heart and the rhythm of your breath. Come as you are. Grow through what you go through.
